Discovering Disc Golf

This year, difuze proudly decided to support the associations and clubs of employees who are involved in a sporting or cultural activity.

Patrick Dumas, Technician, Encoding, and employee in the Distribution department for 24 years was the first to turn to the company and submit his request to the Marketing Committee.

His passion was born from his colleague, Pascal Cyr, who holds a similar role at difuze. Both have been promoting their favorite sport to friends and family for many years now.

As a member of the Board of Directors of the ADGM (a non-profit association whose goal is to grow the sport of Disc Golf in Quebec), Patrick presents Disc Golf and his role in developing this activity:

“This activity is a derivative of golf that is played with a disc, more commonly known as a frisbee. We play all year long outside, alone or with other people. The fun part is that for the past few years we have seen more and more people join our ranks and become interested in this activity. So much so, that we are now facing a “beautiful” problem: there are not enough places to play because our community is growing! The association is therefore working to develop and create new fields in the coming months in the Montreal area in order to accommodate all the new players.

Patrick chose difuze as a sponsor to support the Disc Golf Pro-Am Tour, which is the best PDGA Disc Golf tournament series in Quebec and Eastern Ontario. In addition, this association’s mission is to improve the conditions for the practice of this sport and contribute to the growth of their community.
